“Justice and the People”

Workshop in Advocacy on civil society organizations

In the framework of the “ Justice and the People”  campaign ATRC in cooperation with the implementing partner  PILG held their second workshop in Gjilan on advocacy and domestic violence.

The workshop was held on November 11, 2011 at Hotel Kistal- Gjilan. The purpose of this workshop was to build  advocacy capacities of the OSHC representatives  from the Gjilan region in the matters related to rule of law in general, drafting policy  recomandations,  negotiations with the gorvernment officials and advocacy in preventing domestic violence and expecially gender equality.

Untill now , two workshops  have been held of this kind, the first one in Prishtinë and the second one in Gjilan, while early in the beginning of the next year other workshops will be held in Pejë and Prizren.

Justice and the People Campaign is a movement that brings together citizens and civil society groups to identify concrete issues in the justice system and promote changes through public advocacy.  Our goal is to promote a more accountable government and increase the responsiveness of the justice system to the needs of citizens.
