"June 5- INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL DAY - KOSOVO AND ITS SPATIAL PLAN"

On the occasion of marking the International Environment Day-June 5 , Advocacy Resource Center-ATRC, in the context of the presentation of the Network of Environment Ambassadors-REA, has organized the round table "June 5- INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL DAY - KOSOVO AND ITS SPATIAL PLAN"

As a result of discussions on the topic "5 June, International Day of Environment, Kosovo and its Spatial Plan," is that the environmental situation in Kosovo is not good.

Therefore:

• Network Ambassadors of the Environment, REA, estimates that adoption of the Spatial Plan of Kosovo is one of the measures to be taken in order to improve the state of the environment.
• REA requires the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo and the Committee on Environment, Forestry and Rural Development of the Kosovo Assembly to accelerate the approval process for this important document for the environment of Kosovo.
• Sustainable economic development of the country, establishment of infrastructure development in accordance with environmental standards, sustainable use of natural resources planning and rational use of space are just some of the frameworks that will be deployed by the Adoption of Spatial Plan of Kosovo, in favor of protection and preservation of environmental quality.
